Local restaurants have superb dishes using local produce and fish and seafood caught that very day. The pubs are all welcoming and serve a great pint of Guinness!

Louisburgh is a fantastic holiday destination. With breathtaking views, blue flag beaches that are not crowded even in the height of summer, mountains to climb and rivers to fish there is plenty to do to fill your days. Fresh locally produced food can be found in most local shops and restauraunts and you will easily be able to find seafood caught earlier that same day in the Atlantic Ocean. If you prefer to catch your own fish you are in the right area, as there are plenty of fishing opportunities around. You can try surfing or stand up paddleboarding at the beaches nearby or visit some local historical sites or take some driving trips a bit further afield to Connemara or Achill.
